We work extensively with you to create Target Profiles that detail the ideal characteristics of an acquisition, what benefits that acquisition would bring, its valuation & deal structure and critical guidance on how to integrate the target into your existing platform.

Stage 2 - Target Identification

Our goal is to maximize success of the process by identifying a broad range of acquisition targets that meet your Target profile. We utilize our network of advisors and an extensive range of research tools and databases to find companies that are outside of your existing knowledge base, that are off-market and that would be a great fit for your acquisition strategy.

Stage 3 - Confidential Outreach

We only reach out to targets that you approve. You know exactly who we are approaching, how we are approaching them, when and what we are saying. All outreach is tracked and available to you for review 24/7. We proactively, confidentially and diligently contact each target via a multitude of channels that typically deliver a >70% response rate over a 90 day period; without the target knowing that you are our Client.

Stage 4 – Qualifying Targets

Our goal is to establish that the target is a good fit, they are realistic in terms of their valuation expectations, and they are motivated to engage. Having collated and reviewed the target’s business and financial data, we evaluate together whether to execute an NDA and move to the next stage in the process.

Stage 5 - Choosing the best option

Our aim is to provide you with a number of qualified options as a result of our outreach. Experience shows our Clients engage with around 10% of the targets approached and around 6% will meet the criteria whereby our Client wishes to make an offer. We optimize your time and guide you to do the right deal, not just to do a deal. We continually refine and refocus the process until we find the right company.

Stage 6 - Transaction Structure & Integration

Our team guides you at every stage of the process; from Transaction Structuring & Execution to Due Diligence and Risk-based Integration Planning. Our aim is to ensure that the acquisition succeeds and meets your strategic, financial and organizational goals.
